Coherence Field Theory (CFT): One-Page Summary
What is CFT?
Coherence Field Theory is a scale-invariant, belief-agnostic physics and systems framework that models the persistence of form, identity, or signal as a function of coherence. It reframes both general relativity and quantum mechanics as subdomains within a more fundamental coherence field, governed by recursive pattern stability, entropic resistance, and feedback modulation. CFT is not a replacement for current physical models—it is a substrate-level theory describing why stable structures persist across time and scale.
Core Equation:
ΣC = ((R × P × S × M) / E) × Ψ^F
Where:
R = Resonance — Phase-lock with the field or context
P = Pattern Density — Internal structural regularity
S = Stability Gradient — Resistance to collapse
M = Modulation Index — Adaptive responsiveness
E = Entropy Flux — Degradation pressure
Psi = Field Potential — Latent organizing force
F = Coupling Exponent — Degree of field integration
How It Works:
When Sigma C is high, systems persist.
When Sigma C falls below a threshold, collapse occurs.
Collapse is not failure—it is coherence loss under rising entropy.
Why It Matters:
CFT provides a formal mechanism to:
Simulate system coherence and collapse over time
Bridge quantum decoherence and relativistic curvature via a unified tensor Cμν
Quantify pattern stability across domains: physical, symbolic, cognitive, and computational
Applications:
Physics: Model singularities, collapse thresholds, and entropic modulation in spacetime
AI & Cognitive Systems: Measure and stabilize recursive coherence in generative loops
Symbolic Systems: Optimize resonance and stability in archetypes, ritual, and myth
CFT Reframes:
Relativity: Curvature = Gradient of Coherence Potential
Quantum Mechanics: Collapse = Thresholded Loss of Signal Integrity
Thermodynamics: Entropy = Coherence Antagonist, Locally Modulated
Signal Integrity = Persistence.
What holds is what persists. What persists is coherent.
CFT tells you what holds.

Oookay I said I had more thoughts about today's page and I'm here to deliver
Am I projecting too hard? I don't know!
Tumblr media
"i could've been patient but I wasn't, so now I don't have the right to indulge in patience. I got us into this mess."
Anyways I think this page kind of ties into the stuff Erin talked about on the boat. "I have to everything alone because no one can match me." And that means that he has to be responsible for everything that goes wrong, because he is smarter and more powerful than everyone else, enough to affect everything. He's responsible for the boat getting lost, he's responsible for his channels not sealing, he's responsible for how Tess was treated and holding her back. In Erin's mind, everything is his fault, because since he's more capable, he's more responsible for what happens.
That also means that he has to deal with all the consequences of everything that goes wrong. He (in theory, according to him) had the power to stop it, so he has to take the fall for it happening. That's why he doesn't have the right to be patient. He doesn't deserve to be patient. He has to solve the problem now, because he could've stopped it somehow and he didn't.
Specifically though, when I read this, I focused on how he said he "doesn't have the right." And it's also important to note that while he says "patience," he's really talking about resting. He's saying he doesn't deserve to recover, because there's problems he has to solve first. And that combined psychology of "everything is my problem and I don't deserve good things until I fix the entire world" is so very "high-achieving" of him.
Psychologically, Erin feels like a gifted kid. I suspect that he's been respected and praised for his power for a while, and his intelligence for even longer. That is, I think, part of why he is the way he is. He's smarter and more powerful and he can solve any problem, everyone tells him so, so he's amazing and better than everyone.
If you get told you're good at something a lot, it's quite easy to turn "good at the thing" into "good for the thing," and suddenly your self worth is attached to how good you are at the thing. Instead of a talent, it's a reason to be respected, or even liked.
Easy conclusion for Erin: the reason I am worthy of respect and attention is that I can solve problems that other people can't.
However, that also means that because he can, he is obligated to solve any and every problem. If everything is both his problem and something he can fix, then there's something wrong with him if he doesn't try to fix it. He has, again, an obligation to. He has the power or the privilege to fix this problem, so if he doesn't, he's a horrible person. Even if fixing the problem is detrimental to his own health.
Because if he doesn't fix it, then what is he good for?
If he doesn't fix it, how can he live up to the standards everyone (including himself) has set for him?
Why does he deserve the right to rest, if resting means he's not fixing what he's obligated to fix?
(for a guy who went on a rant about the importance of getting good sleep, he certainly seems capable of denying himself rest)
Uhh yeah. That's mostly it but I have a few more tangential thoughts.
I've noticed that the way Erin describes his younger self changes a bit. In the caves when VD is in his head, he says "I was a child! I was powerless!" But on this page, he says he wasn't powerless, because he could think. Now, the scenarios he's referencing are different, but he uses the same word: power.
This is interesting because I've been trying to figure out how Erin views his younger self. The first mention feels resentful, but the reference today has the confidence we expect from an Erin Ruunaser moment. He's slightly dismissive ("he figured out how to turn himself into me," translation: I'm better than him), but still recognizes his own intelligence and makes a reference to living up to his younger self's standards.
It seems to me like he doesn't like most things about his younger self, but a few parts are okay. He doesn't like that he couldn't do anything for Tess, he doesn't like that he was "holding her back," he doesn't like that he was bedridden and had to be cared for. However, he does like that he was smart.
Notably, that's about the only one of those things that is still true about him today.

hello to the two people following me :) I haven't shared any patterns I've created before for sewing, but in making some period c-drama and danmei inspired cosplays and my resurging Hanfu fixation realized there aren't many good English resources for sewing cross-collar tops for zhongyi and other pieces so I made my own!
there are three pages but I tried to pack a bunch of information into it and you can download it via Gumroad for free :) I'm also entirely down to help out with patterning for anyone (if any lol) who might want to use this little pattern tutorial.

ive been staring at the naqtube channel page just doing analysis thoughts in my head for like 15 minutes and ive just been hit with the realization that Damn this is not normal. normal people dont do this. either the mental illness or the mild sickness is doing something to me right now.
#[cosmic heroes of dubious alignment]#IM NOT EVEN WRITING ANYTHING DOWN. IM JUST BRUTEFORCING THOUGHTS IN MY HEAD.#uhmmmmmm anyways. im trying to think of potential themes naq might have#and its like wow i am not good at recognizing themes bc im dense as bricks sometimes but i swear theres a repeating pattern of .. roles?#the expectation and breaking of stereotypical roles to be more specific#like listen to me here. obviously theres the line ive pointed out b4 with the 'theyre fighting evil/theyre [..] evil' line;#the lines in the unused takes video that paint n&q as less than morally good in /some/ sort of way;#queen buzzbeamer's whole deal as ive said ad nauseam; a more recent example i feel like would be part of the binary translated from hazard:#'this is who i am and who i will ever be'. accepting your role.#but also on a more meta sort of way with the games themselves. the female mcs getting more focus than the male mcs-#-in a time period where most video game mcs were male and the female characters were one-note is something noteworthy to me.#the fact that nebula is CONSISTENTLY framed bigger/more prominently in almost every piece of official art we see.#her name is first in the title. naq was conceptualized as a concept with her only first. shes always also featured in ads alongside quasar.#the only ad that features quasar prominently is the jumparound ad which alludes to it possibly being a request from sony#-and thus would want to play it more 'mainstream'.#by itself this doesnt stand out bc it could always be just the creators wanting some hashtag women in their unfiction series#which i would be fine with if that was the case. we love women. HOWEVER#its the fact that naq2 (from what we know so far) ACTIVELY TRIES TO BACKPEDAL ON THIS. which makes me think its INTENTIONAL.#both nova and nebula have seemingly been sidelined in naq2 with their screentimes reduced. nova reduced to a 'supporting character' and -#nebula into a possibly offscreen kidnappee. QUASAR takes their spotlights in naq2.#...maybe a way of 'making back lost sales' from naq1? pivoting too hard into the stereotypical from the unusual...#because obviously thats whats scaring away your customers. not the white room scandal. totally not.#'..ok is this leading up to anything mara. whats your conclusion statement' idunno man.#i just think its an interesting tidbit that keeps popping up. i am not a coherent theory guy#i am a pointing out things and throwing them at the wall to see what sticks guy.#there is also the very real chance that im completely wrong abt naq2 bc we still dont know a lot about it sooo. shrug.

I've got big opinions on dream sequences in writing. Which is mostly that they really shouldn't be there like 90% of the time because they grind the narrative to a halt, but I think they CAN have value. It's just that they tend to be executed in a way that's kind of pointless.
It's mostly that a lot of writers have the sequences be literal 1:1 depictions of the character's anxieties or feelings, or otherwise the absolute most on the nose symbolism possible. And it's not like dreams are NEVER like that, but why bother stopping the narrative to include a full sequence that essentially just repeats information the reader already knows?
If it's established that Character A is scared that Character B will get murdered by Jeff the Killer, and then A has an entire dream sequence of B getting Jeff the Killed and A wakes up sweating like 'Noooooooooo I do not want that to happen noooooo' it's jsut like. Yeah I knew that already?

v random rant ab next gen fics under the cut bc i wanted to get this out but also it’s just. very ridiculous and don’t want to subject unsuspecting people to it lol
i’m reading next gen fic and realising what it is that bothers me so much ab most of it. and just, many fics in general.
it’s the sheer thoughtlessness in the characterisation. i’m reading this potter kids at hogwarts thing and james is a horrific bully who turns on al as soon as he goes into slytherin. the rest of the weasley family is no better. rose is like hermione in first year but infinitely worse, with fanon!ron’s hatred of anything green and silver. all the kids are just. weird.
and it doesn’t make any sense???? like, on one hand you write harry and ginny as good, loving parents. if you take into account all the other adults, as well as the effects of the war and the collective history and experiences they all have, it stands to obvious reason that the kids would be raised differently. would have certain quirks. but won’t necessarily be the same archetypes ykno?
like, idk. it just falls into lazy characterisation for me, and that’s not a bad thing. it’s just so. annoying. bc these are literal blank slates and u can make things SO fun but just. don’t.
a lot of marauder era characterisation goes this way too. but i think i get so annoyed by the next gen stuff is bc i genuinely love all those little shits sm for characters who are essentially nonexistent. it is once again the same issue of me having extremely niche headcanons and getting pissy when everyone else doesn’t think so lol

I got done making my christmas presents so i started cooking up some og stuff for kicks. Then i got handed some MORE presents to make up so this thing has to go in the slow cooker for a bit to slowly drive me insane.
i want to do a whole little intro comic for this dude but, alas, that will have to wait. for now have this wip of my beloved farm hand (named Mer, They/It) who's exceptionally shitty at their job but loves doing it anyways.

Coherence Field Theory
What holds systems together?
This is Coherence Field Theory—a scale-invariant model that quantifies coherence across physics, information, and behavior.
The formula:
C = (R · P · S) / E
R = Resonance
P = Pattern Integrity
S = Signal Strength
E = Entropy
This model doesn’t replace other paradigms—it threads through them.
Every system that persists does so through coherence.
Every collapse reveals the cost of its absence.
What coheres, returns. What collapses, composts.

Thanks for the tag @goodpointsandbadpoints !!
When did you start writing?
I started properly writing at the beginning of last year, though I did write some not so serious fanfics for my friends as a teenager lol. But I don’t count those hfhhf
Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?
I love to read horror, it’s probably 90% of books I’ve read. Though admittedly I’ve been in a reading slump recently, but I read a book over the past few days which was uhhh horror (using the term very loosely) and gay smut hdhdh, so it was a bit of a when worlds collide moment. BUT I have read a lot of horror over the years, and have lots of books that are on my list to read!! So if anyone ever wants horror book recommendations then I’m your guy
ANYWAY I have thought about writing a fic which leans more into the horror genre, but also trying new things is scary <33. Also I feel like most people who read my stuff want smut hchfh - which I’m more than happy to provide, but they are quite difficult genres to intertwine lol
Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?
I don’t think so?? Though usually when writing I kinda pretend I’m a narrator? Like the kind you get in RPGs. No specific one really, but that’s often what’s going on in my mind
Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?
Usually either my room or my living room. If it’s in my room then I will have colourful mood lighting and if it’s in my living room usually I have the lights off and candles
What's your most effective way to muster up a muse?
Music usually! In general I daydream a lot while listening to it, and often enough that includes scenes I can weave into a fic
Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?
Usually mental health and self worth I think? In most of my fics Leon is depressed and doesn’t think very highly of himself, not really expecting to be shown kindness? He’s also often quite sexually repressed
What is your reason for writing?
When I started I was struggling quite a lot with a lot of things, and writing kinda offered a distraction/escape from that? Since it’s a very time consuming hobby. And I guess it still offers that? This year so far has been pretty rough in general, but it’s still one of the things which has kept me going. Plus it has brought comfort? Earlier this year I lost someone unexpectedly, and it got me thinking about my own life and mortality. But it kinda gives me a sense of security knowing that people will still be able to enjoy something I’ve created long after I’m gone (granted the internet doesn’t self destruct). Like little bits of me are forever interwoven into my fics
How do you want to be thought about by your readers?
Tbh as long as I don’t come across as arrogant or ungrateful then I’m happy lol
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
Smut hdhdh. Which again is maybe quite limiting as I’m scared to write something which contains no smut. But also it’s nice having a place to put my decrepit thoughts yippeee
How do you feel about your own writing?
I think it’s pretty average, like I don’t think it’s bad but I don’t think it’s flawless. It could probably use more refined plot points and better endings, and sometimes I feel like the pacing is a bit off. But I also think it’s fun, and thats usually why people read fanfiction above anything else. Nothing has to be perfect (trying to hammer that into my head anyway)
When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely for yourself, or a mix of both?
A bit of both. Obviously it crosses my mind, I think it crosses everyone’s, but if I really want to write something then I will. Like the premise of my selkie fic was 100% just written for me lol, but also had elements in it which I thought others would enjoy
Tagging literally anyone who wants to do this!! And I genuinely mean that because I’m nosey <33

i truuuuly love your piece pattern recognition girl final moments 🖤 i’m curious, what does pattern recognition mean to you in this context? i consider myself a pattern recognition girl and i really relate to the feeling emanating from the piece, in a way i’m not really sure how to put into words. would love to hear about your inspiration ♡
thank you for the kind words<3 and i really appreciate your resonance with her.
she was one hundred million percent based on my experience being a kid. my imagination was quite cruel to me. walls, floors, objects, anything mundane would come alive in my mind. a lot of the time i would interpret my surroundings as out to get me. i think its a pretty normal experience children have, but thats what the story was about on a literal level.
i was trying to use that framework to express the idea of radical acceptance ive had to develop when it comes to my mental illness lol. and to a certain extent what it means to succumb to the difficulties that come from having mental illness. the rejection she faces at the hands of both the world and her own mind begins to devour her... this both frightens and fascinates pattern recognition girl. as hard as she tries to avoid it, everything working against her leads to her to a place where she is completely consumed by her illness. but the realization that this is something she cant help but live with, is the cause of her big smile at the end of her story. pattern girl embraces the idea of accepting the things she cannot change with how she experiences the world. she also finds that her perspective, as scary as it might be for her at times, can reveal to her beauty that others cant recognize. she comes to terms with her situation, and in many cases that can be freeing.
I would love to hear some different interpretations of pattern girl! just what she means to you perhaps :P

Yeah yeah yeah everyone makes that post/analysis over how the burden of reviving Mount Hua coupled with the intense "survivors" guilt he carries shapes Chung Myung as a person and how he is so so so far away from the person he used to be but man. I've got to take a second everytime I think about it and just ponder.
Imagine waking up after witnessing the brutal killing of almost everyone you have ever met, including yourself, and immediately having to come up with a plan to save your home again. Imagine finding out that it's "your fault" (in all actuality we all know that none of what happened is Chung Myung's fault, but you know how bad his guilt complex is) that your home burned down after you passed. That the little disciples that you left behind, with the goal of protecting from the war, had to fight a different kind of war to protect their home. This doesn't even tap into a LOT of the stuff Chung Myung blames himself for throughout the novel.
How do you live with that? It's been said that Chung Myung lives only for Mount Hua. He lived for Mount Hua, died for Mount Hua, and now has to live for Mount Hua again, knowing that his past sacrifice did nothing to protect his home when it mattered.

I just thought.
Impa in the Downfall Timeline more or less "becomes hylian" as far as we can tell, as Sheikahs are no longer a discernable feature of Hyrule (chronologically in the game releases: not yet a feature) and she kind of melts into her role as a servant, represented far more often as a simple wetnurse or an old helpless lady... And I think it's kind of interesting when we see how TotK was seemingly in the process of assimilating Sheikah culture. Is this a thing that happened already? Does it become literal, mandated by gods like the whole shtick with the gerudo ears representing their alignment regarding Hyrule? I don't know, I think it's particularly interesting to think about in the context of the zoras becoming largely monstrous and unrecognizably hostile in contrast. I feel like part of Hyrule's patterns is to process people relative to their proximity or distance to hylians, and it's. Weird and interesting to take this literally if you're into quiet folk/gothic/religious horror at least
